Hey Vinnie, been a while. Yeah, I like textmate a lot. I like coda, but textmate does so much. I’m just not really learning it, thinking about getting the textmate book. It’s such a powerful tool.

I use textmate on the Mac and e text editor (textmate clone) on Windows. I played with Coda for a while but couldn’t get into it; I’m too used to textmate nowadays.

I’m pretty much sold on UE I think. It’s just rock solid. I love that it recovers files when my machine locks up and I have to reboot, it’s saved me many a time. And I’m still leaning towards Homsite as my main HTML/PHP editor. I just can’t find anything I like as well or the PC. I’ve been using it since like version 1 and I’m not sure I want to give it up ;)

However, if Panic starts making Coda for the PC… I may have to drop it. I totally love Coda on my Macbook. I’ve got to register it shortly. I get $10 off for already owning Transmit, which is cool.

I use ultraedit and putty as well. If you like UE just for the search and replace, I would consider Textpad. It can ‘t replace in files like UE, but does search files. I never use the replace in files though anyway as I like to verify that I’m not screwing up each file.
